look who’s finally joined!

look who got pushed to the side

So many people complained about Merida’s look (which I didn’t think was even that significant, honestly?) largely because she wasn’t presented with her bow.  Aside from that being a rather objectionable criticism, I have yet to see masses of people protesting about Mulan not wearing her soldier uniform, or the fact that Kida wasn’t included (and never has been) in princess lineups.

My reaction exactly. Apart from making Merida’s dress look more glittery and feminine, it’s not that bad. Especially compared to Mulan’s sudden change of outfit.

Mulan, baby, what have they done to you :(

I feel like I should also mention that criticism of Merida’s redesign isn’t just about not having a bow (that is an objectionable criticism)  - the new design makes her thinner and taller. And when I say thinner I mean her waist is thinner while her boobs and hips remains as they were.

Ugh, someone is in the kitchen so I can’t eat a bowl of old fudge icing without shame  :(
